Having a whale of a time

Finally, I have finished my trio of cartoon animals mini quilts.

I tried to choose neutral colours to suit a boy or girl's room.

I love the way with mini quilts you can play around with colour schemes and see almost instantaneously a new grouping.

Here they are all together.

Apologies for the shocking quality of photographs. I had waited all week to click them and them in daylight but on Saturday it was so grey and dull.

The close up shots are a bit better...

Is it just me or is that orange bound corner not just perfect?

Think pink

Check out some of the recent fabric I have bought.

Since when have I been into pink? Everyone who knows me knows I am not really a pink kinda girl. I will have the odd piece of clothing and like some shades but am no barbie.

Seeing them all stacked up like this though, I admit, is really pretty.

Now all I need is to work them into a project.
